The Wind Farm

Tall, white
and taper-slim
the windmills
sprout
from stubbled
fields,
propeller petals
sleekly curved
to dip into
the spread
of sky.
Deus ex machina
rendered pure,
their fragile
beauty
rivals nature
and gives purpose
to the flat horizon’s
rambling.
